Axes Physical Therapist: Zac Schniers, PT, DPT, CMPT in St. Louis, MO

Axes Physical Therapy is pleased to announce our 19th full-service physical therapy clinic in St. Louis City – opening for patient care on September 25, 2023.

Axes is proud to announce the opening of its newest, state-of-the-art facility at 812 S Theresa Ave Retail 1, St. Louis, MO 63103. Located in the heart of Midtown St. Louis at the newly developed Steelecote Square Complex, the addition of this new clinic solidifies Axes’ commitment to ensuring quality care for our community. Nearby landmarks include St. Louis University, St. Louis University Medical Center, The Armory, The City Foundry and the new Top Golf location.

Furthermore, in a landmark move for patient accessibility and convenience, residents in Missouri can now seek physical therapy services at Axes without the need for a prescription or referral, due to new Direct Access legislation that took effect on August 28, 2023.

This new facility, nestled in the dynamic hub of St. Louis City, will cater to the diverse population in the area. Easy accessibility and a central location make it a prime spot for those seeking expert physical and occupational therapy services in the city. As with all Axes locations, the focus remains on returning patients to their beloved activities, liberating them from pain, and enhancing their movement health.

Zac Schniers, PT, DPT, CMPT will be leading this operation and functioning as Clinic Director. You recognize his smile from our Axes clinics in Affton and South County, where Zac has previously treated patients. A native of Southern Illinois, Zac graduated with his doctorate in physical therapy from Midwestern University in 2017. He has since moved to St. Louis, where he enjoys helping people achieve their goals using a well-rounded treatment approach and a fun atmosphere. As a vestibular and concussion specialist with certifications in blood flow restriction and IASTM,  Zac’s ultimate passion is building trusting relationships with his patients and has dedicated his career to becoming a life-long learner in order to ensure that patients receive the highest quality of care. In his spare time, Zac enjoys rooting for the St. Louis Blues, hiking, and running with his 2 dogs, Kaia and Nala.

Axes Physical Therapy is a privately owned and operated physical and occupational therapy practice. Our owners collectively have over 70 years of experience as practicing physical therapists and private practice business owners. We pride ourselves in hiring the best clinicians and letting them thrive by allowing them to do what they do best – improving the lives of those they serve. Direct access doesn’t diminish the importance of collaboration between healthcare professionals, however. Axes physical therapists continue to work closely with physicians, sharing insights, discussing patient progress, and determining the best course of action.

With the introduction of Direct Access, Axes is even more empowered to serve the community swiftly and efficiently. This initiative allows patients to directly seek our expert physical therapy services without a prior physician’s referral or prescription, ensuring timely interventions and tailored care is accessible when it is needed most. Axes’ team of seasoned professionals will be on standby, ready to evaluate, advise, and treat, ensuring optimal health outcomes at all 19 locations.

Stay tuned for photos, full staff, and services of this new Midtown location.

Thank you, St. Louis, for your continued support. We are humbled and honored to be at your service.
