Axes Gives Back: Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition
At Axes Physical Therapy, our mission goes beyond rehabilitation—we’re here to make a lasting impact in the communities we serve. With 21 locally owned clinics across the Greater St. Louis area, our team is dedicated to helping people recover, rebuild, and thrive through physical and occupational therapy.
Through the Axes Physical Therapy Foundation, we proudly support a local, staff-nominated charitable organization each month. This November, we are honored to support the Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition, a St. Louis nonprofit that helps children in foster care find forever families and strengthens those who open their homes and hearts to them.
About the Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition
The Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition is a St. Louis-based nonprofit that creates permanency for children in foster care by recruiting, preparing, and supporting foster and adoptive families. Their mission is to “find forever families for every child in foster care, and support those families so they can thrive.”
The organization is nationally recognized for innovative programs that improve the foster care system, including:

30 Days to Family® – a program that places children entering foster care with safe, stable relatives or kin within 30 days, reducing trauma and keeping families connected.

Extreme Recruitment® – a child-focused model that uses specialized teams to find permanent families for youth who have been in foster care the longest.

Family Works and A Place to Call Home – programs that provide long-term support, advocacy, and resources to foster, adoptive, and kinship families.
By focusing on stability, kinship, and family support, the Coalition ensures children don’t just find homes—they find belonging.
Why This Cause Matters
In Missouri, there are thousands of children in foster care waiting for permanent families. Many have experienced loss, uncertainty, and change beyond what most of us can imagine. The Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition works every day to give these children the chance to grow up in loving, supportive homes where they can heal and thrive.
At Axes, we see a deep connection between their mission and ours: both center on restoring hope, improving lives, and empowering people to move forward stronger than before.
How Axes Is Supporting
This month, through the Axes Physical Therapy Foundation, our staff’s contributions will provide a monetary donation to the Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition. These funds will help sustain programs that recruit families, reunify siblings, and ensure that foster and adoptive parents have the tools they need to succeed.
When our community supports organizations like this one, we help children find stability—and remind families that they’re not alone.
