Cole Gerstenberger, PT, DPT, is a full-time physical therapist at the Axes Ballwin clinic. Originally from Perryville, MO, Cole spent his senior year of high school in Farmington before moving to the St. Louis area to attend McKendree University. There, he played collegiate soccer while earning his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and Sports Performance with a minor in Sports Psychology. He went on to earn his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Washington University in St. Louis in 2025.

Cole is passionate about helping patients return to the activities that matter most to them, whether that’s competing in sports, staying active with family, or simply moving through daily life without pain. He enjoys working with a wide variety of patients and has a particular interest in treating athletes, drawing from both his personal and clinical experiences in high-level sports. He values building strong relationships with his patients and helping them achieve their goals through individualized care and education.

Outside of work, Cole continues to play soccer competitively for a local semi-professional team. He also enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking, golfing, traveling, trying new restaurants, attending concerts, and exploring the outdoors.
