Lauren Huckstep opened Axes Eureka in April ’22. Lauren was born and raised in Eureka, Missouri where she played soccer for the Wildcats and then on to collegiate soccer for High Point University in North Carolina. She attained her doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Missouri in 2013. She is a Physical Therapist with additional training as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, a certified ASTYM provider and SFMA, Level 1. Lauren is an avid runner and completed 6 marathons including the Boston Marathon in 2018. Her passion and firsthand knowledge of Endurance Sports gives her the skills needed to work with this patient population. She is also specialty trained in running gait analysis, movement analysis, and soft tissue mobilization. Lauren is focused on empowering people, inspiring hope, and transforming the lives of her patients through her knowledge and skilled care. In her free time, she enjoys CrossFit, cycling, hiking and spending time with her family.
