Originally from O’Fallon, MO, Makenzie will serve an Axes Athletic Trainer for Wentzville School District and will also support the Wentzville clinic. Makenzie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Health and Human Performance from the University of Tennessee at Martin, where she played Division 1 soccer as a goalkeeper. She holds a Master’s in Athletic Training from Truman State University and a Master’s in Strength and Conditioning from St. Francis University. Makenzie is excited to work at a larger school with a diverse range of sports, aiming to make a significant impact on the athletes. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, spending time with friends, and being active outdoors through hiking, sand volleyball, float trips, and pool days. She lives in Winfield, MO, with her fiancé and their dog, Remy.
