
Megan Leaver, OTD, OTR/L, CHT, is an occupational therapist at Axes Physical Therapy with a strong passion for upper extremity rehabilitation and hand therapy. Born and raised in Ballwin, MO, Megan followed in her family’s footsteps by attending Indiana University, where she earned her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science. She later returned to Indiana to earn her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Indiana Wesleyan University.
Megan joined Axes in 2022 and has dedicated her career to hand therapy, completing Axes’ Hand Therapy Mentorship Program before earning her Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential in 2026. She is passionate about helping patients regain function and independence after injuries and conditions affecting the hand and upper extremity. Megan loves building meaningful relationships with her patients and considers it a privilege to be part of their recovery journey, calling it one of the best jobs in the world.
Outside of the clinic, Megan enjoys spending time with her husband, their two boys, and their energetic dog. A creative at heart, she also loves crafting, attending concerts, and checking off visits to U.S. national parks.
