Welcome Vic Zuccarello, OTR/L, CEAS II, ACDA

physical therapist

Beginning July 22, 2019, Vic Zuccarello will begin offering Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCE’s) and Work Conditioning/Hardening Services at all Axes Physical Therapy locations. This is an important addition to the already robust workers’ compensation and return to work platform currently in place.

We believe that work is inherently good. Work provides income, purpose, and a sense of belonging. It allows people to be productive members of society. Despite efforts by employers to reduce workplace injuries, they do occur. It’s at that point that we become a stakeholder in the safe and effective return-to-work programming for the injured worker, in conjunction with the employer, the physician, the payer, and all others involved in the claim.

We offer rapid accessibility to our services provided by a highly experienced team of physical and occupational therapists, many with nearly 20 years of experience treating injured workers. We partner with the referring physician, communicating effectively, to advance the patient forward towards their goals. We understand our role as a member of the entire team of stakeholders and act and communicate accordingly.

From acute injury rehabilitation to return to work full duty without restrictions, we center our efforts on the worker, providing a safe, professional and positive environment for their recovery.

  • Acute management of the injured worker is available at all 10 locations.
  • Work Conditioning/Hardening Services are offered at 9 out of 10 locations (excluding Union, MO).
  • Functional Capacity Evaluations are offered daily at all 10 locations.

Vic Zuccarello, OTR/L, CEAS II, ACDA has provided the gold standard for FCE and work rehabilitation in the bi-state region for over 30 years. He is viewed as the “go-to” expert by physicians, case managers, adjusters and attorneys when a case requires expert assessment and the confidence to present under oath. He applies his experience and an evidence-based protocol to identify test behaviors and to document clearly, concisely, and in a manner that allows the physician to determine maximal medical improvement (MMI). He is available for work evaluation and functional capacity evaluations. Contact any clinic to schedule.
