This event is a powerful opportunity for us to come together as a collective force and make a positive impact on the lives of others.
We invite you to join us on Friday, June 30, 2023, at our headquarters located at 647 Spirit Airpark W Dr. Chesterfield, MO, 63005, between 09:30 AM and 02:30 PM. Your participation can truly save lives. Axes Headquarters is right off of Chesterfield Airport Road, just between Spirit Airport and The Chesterfield Premium Outlets.
Why Giving Blood Matters to Axes:
As an organization dedicated to improving lives, the Axes team recognizes the critical importance of giving blood. Blood donations play a crucial role in supporting medical treatments, emergency care, and the overall well-being of patients. By organizing the Axes Blood Drive, we aim to create an environment where our community can contribute to the health and happiness of others in need.
The Need for Blood:
Partnering with American Red Cross, a renowned humanitarian organization, we are able to ensure that the blood collected during the Axes Blood Drive goes to those who need it most. American Red Cross relies on the generosity of donors like you to maintain a stable blood supply for hospitals and medical facilities across the country. By donating blood, you directly support life-saving treatments for accident victims, surgical patients, individuals with chronic illnesses, and many others.
First-Time Donors:
A Warm Welcome Awaits You! If you’re a first-time donor, we want to extend a warm welcome and assure you that your contribution will make a significant impact. To ensure your comfort during the donation process, we recommend following a few simple steps on the day of your appointment:
- Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of fluids before and after your donation to keep yourself well-hydrated.
- Eat Nutritious Foods: Have a healthy meal or snack before your appointment to maintain your energy levels.
- Get a Good Night’s Sleep: Prioritize a restful night’s sleep before your donation to feel refreshed and ready.
- Complete the Rapid Pass: Fill out the Rapid Pass on the day of your donation HERE. This form will help expedite the process and make it even more convenient for you.
- Remember to Bring Your IDs: When you arrive at the Axes Physical Therapy Headquarters to donate, please bring two forms of identification, separate from your donor card. This requirement helps ensure the safety and accuracy of the donation process. Your IDs will also be useful for future donations.
- Review the medication deferral list provided by American Red Cross here, to make sure that none of your current medications are contra-indicated for blood donation.
