BEGINNING THE YEAR WITH HOPE: SUPPORTING CHILDREN’S MEDICAL MISSIONS WEST
Axes is a small, locally owned and operated physical therapy company serving our communities in the Greater St. Louis Missouri and Illinois area. We’re fortunate to be able to offer our services at 19 locations, with the mission to help as many people as possible. Our profession is all about helping others and giving back. Through the service of physical and occupational therapy, we give our patients’ their livelihoods, lifestyles, and abilities back. Since giving back is the fundamental reason that our organization exists, it was important to the ownership and staff of Axes Physical Therapy to make sure that we are doing all that we can to give back to the communities we love.
In 2022, we initiated the Axes Physical Therapy Foundation to amplify our charitable activities. Every month, we collaborate with a charity chosen by our staff and donate through our “Wear Jeans, Change Lives” initiative. This simple act allows our employees to contribute via payroll deduction, which is channeled directly into the Axes Foundation. As a token of thanks, our employees get to sport jeans every Friday! As of January 2024, The Axes Foundation has raised and distributed over $80,000!
As the new year unfolds, Axes is proud to announce our January charity initiative, supporting Children’s Medical Mission West (CMMW). CMMW is a compassionate non-profit organization dedicated to providing critical medical care to children in need.
CMMW, based in Ohio but serving globally, is an organization focusing on bringing essential medical attention to children. Their work often involves covering significant expenses like plane tickets to ensure these children receive the care they require. Volunteers through CMMW are regularly hosting children who need medical attention in their homes – also coordinating things like transportation and taking care of daily needs. They serve as something of medical foster parents, fully standing in to care for the child throughout their stay in the states until they are recovered and return home.
This January, every donation and act of support towards CMMW helps in covering essential costs for children’s medical journeys. Whether it’s through financial contributions or raising awareness, every effort counts. CMMW’s work is not just about providing medical care; it’s about giving these children a chance at a healthier, hopeful future.
