One of the most beautiful urban parks in the world — and one of the greatest civic treasures of St. Louis.

Forest Park Forever

Axes is a small, locally owned and operated physical therapy company serving our communities in the Greater St. Louis area. We’re fortunate to be able to offer our services at 12 locations, with the mission to help as many people as possible. Our profession is all about helping others and giving back. Through the service of physical and occupational therapy, we give our patients’ their livelihoods, lifestyles, and abilities back.

Since giving back is the fundamental reason that our organization exists, it was important to the ownership and staff of Axes Physical Therapy to make sure that we are doing all that we can to give back to the communities we love. Each month, Axes partners with a local, staff nominated charitable organization to donate food, goods, clothes, and funds through our “Wear Jeans, Change Lives” initiative. Employees of Axes contribute to a St. Louis area charitable cause by automatic payroll deduction and get to wear jeans to work on Fridays. In the later months of 2021, we are honored to have given back to 501C3s such as Spirit of Discovery Park, U.S. Naval Sea Cadets, Landon’s League, and in January ’22, we are supporting Forest Park Forever.

Forest Park is a fixture of St. Louis. Founded in 1986, Forest Park Forever is a private nonprofit conservancy that works in partnership with the City of St. Louis and the Department of Parks, Recreation and Forestry to restore, maintain and sustain Forest Park, as one of America’s great urban public parks for a diverse community of visitors to enjoy, now and forever. Forest Park Forever has led major fundraising efforts to restore many landmark destinations in Forest Park, including the Emerson Grand Basin, the Boathouse and the Jewel Box.

Today, Forest Park Forever maintains Forest Park with the City of St. Louis; raises funds for and helps manage capital restoration projects called for in the Forest Park Master Plan; delivers experiential educational opportunities to teachers, students and adults; and provides information and guides for the Park’s 13 million annual visitors.

Not part of the Zoo- Museum Tax District, Forest Park Forever is supported by private donations from throughout the community, including its 8,000 members, 1,300 volunteers and many leading community and corporate partners.

Thank you to our Axes patients, staff, friends, and clients for your continued support of our small business, assisting those in need, and contributing to our greatest mission – to give back.

Helping you is what we do… and we love doing it.
