Axes Gives Back: Honoring Love Like Arie
At Axes Physical Therapy, caring for people is more than our profession—it’s our purpose. With 21 locally owned clinics serving the Greater St. Louis region, we restore movement, strength, and independence through physical and occupational therapy. Each month, our Axes Physical Therapy Foundation partners with a staff-nominated nonprofit to extend that spirit of care beyond the clinic walls.
For June 2025, we are honored to support the Love Like Arie Memorial Foundation, created to honor Arianne “Arie” Grace Oler and support families of medically fragile children.
Who Was Arie?
Arie Oler’s life was brief but brilliant. Born with a rare genetic condition, she spent much of her nine years in and out of hospitals—yet she met every challenge with boundless joy, inclusivity, and a trademark pointer-finger that let everyone know exactly how she wanted to love and be loved. Arie passed away on February 14, 2023—a day devoted to love—leaving a legacy that inspired her family to found Love Like Arie so other families on similar journeys could feel that same unwavering support.
What the Foundation Does
Love Like Arie exists “to love and support medically fragile children and their families, just like Arie loved—fully, joyfully, and selflessly.” Key initiatives include:

Love in Action Bags – Comfort kits filled with gift cards, snacks, blankets, and other essentials delivered to caregivers during lengthy hospital stays.

Family Support & Encouragement – Ongoing resources, community events, and emotional support networks.

Arie Way Clean-Up Crew – Volunteer teams who beautify community spaces in Arie’s honor.
All programs are provided free of charge thanks to community donations.
How Axes Is Helping
This month, the Axes Physical Therapy Foundation is making a monetary donation to Love Like Arie. Our gift helps the foundation purchase the specific supplies and gift cards needed to assemble more Love in Action Bags—ensuring caregivers feel seen, supported, and loved during long hospital stays.
