This month, Axes Gives Back is proud to support the Lupus Foundation of America, Heartland Region, an organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for people affected by lupus through education, support, advocacy, and research.
Serving Missouri, Kansas, and Central and Southern Illinois, the Heartland Region provides resources and guidance for individuals and families navigating the challenges of lupus while also helping advance awareness and treatment efforts throughout the country.
Supporting Those Living With Lupus
Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease that can affect many parts of the body, including the joints, skin, kidneys, heart, lungs, and nervous system. Because symptoms can vary widely and often mimic other conditions, diagnosis and treatment can be complex.
